public interface ContactLocalService

The interface for the contact local service.

Never modify or reference this interface directly. Always use ContactLocalServiceUtil to access the contact local service. Add custom service methods to ContactLocalServiceImpl and rerun ServiceBuilder to automatically copy the method declarations to this interface.

This is a local service. Methods of this service will not have security checks based on the propagated JAAS credentials because this service can only be accessed from within the same VM.

addContact

Contact addContact(Contact contact)
                   throws SystemException

Adds the contact to the database. Also notifies the appropriate model listeners.

Parameters:

contact - the contact to add

Returns:

the contact that was added

Throws:

SystemException - if a system exception occurred

createContact

Contact createContact(long contactId)

Creates a new contact with the primary key. Does not add the contact to the database.

Parameters:

contactId - the primary key for the new contact

Returns:

the new contact

deleteContact

void deleteContact(long contactId)

Deletes the contact with the primary key from the database. Also notifies the appropriate model listeners.

Parameters:

contactId - the primary key of the contact to delete

PortalException - if a contact with the primary key could not be found

start - the lower bound of the range of model instances to return

end - the upper bound of the range of model instances to return (not inclusive)
